Bridge to Mastery

Building a successful art practice

Dates to be determined

100 hours rule

Studies show that if you commit 100 hours to your chosen discipline you’ll be better than 95% of the world in that discipline. For context, that means spending 18 minutes every day for a year in deliberate practice. Practice so focused that you excel in your chosen field.

Those 100 hours will be designed to challenge you every step of the way.

It’s flexible

Not everyone is an every day kind of practitioner. Some of us binge create. Maybe you do 30 minutes 4 days a week, or 2 hours one day a week. Yes, to some degree you can choose your own adventure. But the constant has to be that you’re all in; showing up fully whenever you do show up and doing the work in good faith.

The transformation

100 hours of deep commitment will keep you focused.

100 hours of deliberate practice will cement your skills.

100 hours of seeking out constructive and impartial criticism will keep you out of a rut and always open to new ideas and ways of doing things.

The end result will be an artistic practice that is deeply satisfying, a career that you only dreamt of when you started and the confidence to always experiment and improve your art.
